Toiletries are really important to add to the budget because you need them to survive. I don’t think I could go very long without toilet paper or soap. Everything else you need needs to be in this part of the budget.
No questions allowed
It is important for you and your spouse both to have no question budgets. There won’t be any questions when they spend part of the money on whatever they want to. It is important to have a little freedom with your money even if you want to set some limitations. Problems might develop without this freedom. This could definitely be the next thing on your budget.
Prorate
The next thing on your budget should be everything you prorate. Whatever you pay once or twice a year will be added together and divided into months. Holidays will be a part of this. If you have saved all year then Christmas will be incredibly easier. Things paid only each year should be included like taxes.
Savings in the budget
In your budget you should include savings last. You should be saving for emergencies and retirement. You need to try hard to get to a point where you can save. This can be so important because in the end it will save you. In your account you need enough money to live off of for a few months. Trying to decide the way to pay for an emergency is never as fun as just having the money.
